October wish list

Hello everyone :) At the moment I've noticed the shops are full of gorgeous furry coats, warm, wooly outerwear and fabulous boots.. All displayed around the shops beautifully... Tempting me. I've put together a SMALL wish list of mine (likely to be extended very soon)..

Celine T-shirt

20131015-012343.jpg
I re-blogged a post last week about the Celine t-shirts.. I can't decide if I like the black or the white best??!! I'm trying to avoid wearing too much black.. But I feel like I already own white logo tshirts. I am almost tempted to get both!!!
The simple logo t-shirt has been worn by thousands of bloggers and sported by Rihanna. I think they look really cool styled with a statement necklace and a leather skirt. They look great dressed down with a pair of jeans too. I've seen them on ebay for less then £10.00 too. What's not to love about them? :)

ASOS Cigarette Pants

20131015-013418.jpg
I fell in love with these the moment I saw them... And to make things even better, they are in ASOS's half price sale, £22.50!
I think the print on them is beautiful, remind me of a William Morris print. The red contrasting with the dusky pinks/purples really brings the print to life. For an evening look I would wear these with a white chiffon shirt, a grey gilet, some strappy heels and to finish the outfit off contrast a bright yellow clutch! These are my absolute must haves!!

Red Tartan Scarf

20131017-140804.jpg
Tartan is a huge trend this winter and I really want a warm tartan scale to wrap up in!! It would look great with a simple outfit, such as jeans, t-shirt and black coat to add some style and to keep on trend. I have seen a few about, and must admit I'm not impressed with what the high street have on offer.. The material is more cloth like then wool like!! I'm going to have a search around on ebay, charity shops and vintage shops in hope that I find a lovely wool one.

Grey Fur Gilet

20131017-141741.jpg
Always a fan of fur.. And can never have enough. I wanted a grey fur gilet last year, but never got one :( I'm making it my priority to get one this year!!! Seen this one on nastygal that I think is really cool, I really like the white and grey ombré detail. It's around £80's though, I'm hoping to find one a little cheaper than that.. So I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for one on my next shopping trip (today!!!)

Nude Nail Polish

20131017-143438.jpg
Completely ran out of nail polish at the moment, so I'm hoping to build up a new collection of colours by Christmas. A big fan of nude tones at the moment; they go with any outfit and looks clean, simple and classic. The colour pictured above is Basil Street Polish from Nails Inc, £11.

That's what's on my wish list for now.. It's my birthday this month, so hopefully I can get ticking off this whole list before November.. It's always a loosing battle though, just as I tick off one thing.. I have another five things I want to add!!

Winter Warmer's: the cocoon coat.

Temperatures are dropping, mornings are getting darker. Yep, whether we want to face it or not.. And dare I say it, winter is fast approaching!! So, I'm embracing that fact and beginning my hunt for this years winter coat.
I've been researching trends from the catwalk, and had a look at what versions the high street have got to offer. The three main trends that stick out this season seem to be sleeveless, oversized and sporty. I'm a big fan of the oversized styles.. They just seem more comfy and warm and something you can wrap up in during the colder months! The main shape being cocoon; with their rounded shoulders, billowing arms and overall womanly feel. I've pictured ones I like from the catwalk below..

DKNY

I'm loving the fur texture of the Proenza Schouler and MaxMara coats, but think my favourite has to be the Celine one. The 'to the knee' length seems to be a theme, however with me been short, I think it's harder to pull off (unless I wore heels.. And I'm not cut out to do that everyday!) I've browsed online for coats and screen shotted what I like from the high street.

ASOS, Vintage style cocoon coat, £110

20131010-003126.jpgUrban Outfitters, Minpink two tone Mongolian coat, £90

20131010-003132.jpgNew Look, Light pink mohair boyfriend coat £64.99

20131010-003138.jpgNew Look, Black check oversize collarless coat, £59.99

20131010-003145.jpgASOS, Cocoon bonded Borg biker, £85

Oasis, Salt and pepper biker coat, £100

Top of my list is the 'AOS cocoon bonded Borg biker'.. Love the fur and the leather together and I think I could pair it with quite a lot of my outfits. I do also love the 'New Look light pink mohair boyfriend coat' but not sure if I would get as many wears out of it with it being pink, therefore finding it harder to colour match it with outfits. I'm going to do more coat hunting.. A shopping trip into town is in order so I can try things on. Hopefully I will have a new coat in the next week or so.. And when I do get one I'll post it up! :)

Outfit of the day

I've always been a fan of wearing leather (I wore my leather leggings to death last year!!), and it's still on trend this autumn/winter. I was on the hunt for a 'stand out' leather piece and found this gorgeous red leather skirt, £10 from Primark (I'm becoming a bit of a fan of Primark these days.. But the prices match my student lifestyle)! The reds quite a daring colour, but I've been meaning to experiment more with brighter hues. I think the skirts quite versatile, I'll be wearing it dressed down with jumpers and t-shirts, or glam it up with some heels for the evening.

Primark have some pretty nice costume jewellery in at the moment.. And I found this bad boy necklace for £6! I'm actually in love.

Outfit ideas

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days.. Had a bit of a hectic week starting back at uni!!
I promised to upload some photos following on from my previous post (Primark shopping haul), so that's just what I'm going to do. I've tried to show the versatility of each garment I bought, demonstrated different ways of styling. I've used a few other pieces from my wardrobe too (not just my new Primark clothes), just to give an idea of other ways I would wear each item.
Let me know what you think! :) ...

Outfit 1

20131003-141919.jpg

20131003-142004.jpg

20131003-142017.jpg
I teamed my Aztec leggings and jumper together, pairing them with my military boots (H&M) and a layered necklace, for a casual day look. Te leggings are quite playful and fun, whereas the black from the boots and jumper play the outfit down.

Outfit 2
20131003-142506.jpg

20131003-142521.jpg

20131003-142529.jpg

20131003-142537.jpg
I have changed the accessories in outfit 2- the pointy, strappy shoes, gold 80s style necklace and berry satchel. I think it brings a bit more glamour to the outfit (whereas outfit 1 was a bit more grungy), but is still pretty casual. The berry from the bag contrasts wonderfully against the bright yellows an oranges from the leggings!

Outfit 3
20131003-143132.jpg

20131003-143141.jpg

20131003-143200.jpg

20131003-143209.jpg
I wore the leggings with some chunky black heels (also bought from Primark last year.. And are still lasting me!!), plus a long satin kind of shift top- teamed with my glam-rock studded clutch bag (which my friend brought back from Hong Kong for me as a gift). I would wear this outfit in the evening when going for drinks with friends.

I've tried to show how the leggings can be worn for all different occasions. I've teamed them mostly with black tops and shoes, as I thinly this is the easiest way to style them. I loved the clashing of colours when teamed with my berry bag. I want to find a neon jumper that will compliment and clash with the colours in the same way the bag did.

Outfit 4
20131003-144308.jpg

20131003-144317.jpg

20131003-144325.jpg
I have contrasted a mixture of textures in outfit 4; a massive style trend for this autumn/winter season. The lace, fur and studs all clash with each other. The look has a daytime glamour feel with the mixture of fur and lace. I do love this outfit and think its one I may be showing off a few times this season!

Outfit 5
20131003-144910.jpg

20131003-144927.jpg

20131003-144937.jpg
With outfit 5 I wanted to show a way of 'grunging up' the lace. I layered my new chunky jumper on top, added some necklaces and put on my military boots.

So that's the outfits I have styled together so far using mostly clothes from my latest little shopping haul. No doubt, as I buy more, more outfits will emerge!! Sorry about some of the picture quality.. I had to use a self timer app on my phone, which proved to be quite difficult. With me been so busy this week I didn't get chance to ask someone else to take them.. But wanted to get them uploaded as soon as possible!!!
Any other styling ideas are welcome.. And let me know your opinions!! :)
